who we are

At Project Backcountry we’re outdoor enthusiasts looking for ways to enhance backcountry exploration. Project Backcountry began as a simple “project” to outfit a single Yamaha Grizzly 700 ATV for effective access to some of the most remote regions of the United States. This meant providing the right gear for safe, efficient, travel deep into these backcountry regions. And not just quick jaunts from the truck, but multi-day explorations through vast areas of wilderness across eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

We learned a lot from this project, and we discovered that outfitting the Yamaha Grizzly with proper gear often meant custom solutions. As enthusiasts, we want to share those solutions with other riders who enjoy backcountry exploration as much as we do.

Our Modular FenderLinks and other mounting solutions are manufactured in-house, right here in Pullman, WA, USA. We’re a family-owned, small business and we value high quality, precision manufacturing.
